Argentine madness in Texas: the caravan that traveled 24 hours to see Messi in Dallas

Pink fever arrived in Dallas, ready to cheer on Inter Miami CF and witness Lionel Messi's first game outside of Florida. A caravan of fans drove for 24 hours straight without stopping to witness this Sunday’s match against FC Dallas for the Leagues Cup 2023 round of 16. 

Argentine madness as arrived in Texas.

Twenty-eight fans drove over 2,000 kilometers to get to the match. With an RV leading the way, a motorcade of cards and trucks spend almost a full day following behind with excitement, following very step of Messi’s journey in the U.S.

Following Inter Miami’s win over Orlando City on Wednesday, talk about a caravan to Dallas started and a few hours later they made it a reality. On Friday, the mapped out the route from Dallas to Miami and the next day made the drive to their destination. They finished the trip with an Argentine barbeque.

This group of people are members of the supporters group Messias 305 and the trip had certain protocols to make ure everyone was safe: designated drivers took turns throughout the trip and every 2 hours they stopped to relax, buuy gas and go to the bathrooms.

The founding member, Julio Iglesias, assured the Infobae media outlet that the journey was "long and somewhat tiring", but they were left with a lot of anecdotes and strengthened the fans who have less than two months to live.

This Sunday, they woke up in Dallas with the aim of touring the city and preparing for what will be one of Leo's most important games when he arrives with Inter Miami CF.

He will seek to continue to shine and get into the top eight of the Leagues Cup 2023. And there, the Toyota Stadium, these 28 fans will be part of the Pink tide that will support the Argentine striker.
