The most exciting moment in Liga BBVA MX has arrived. After 17 matchdays, a play-in and the Liguilla we will finally crown the 2023 Clausura champion. The semifinals, following on from the rest of the Liguilla, were very exciting and weren't settled until the fixtures' final moments. Here's our rundown of what happened over the weekend:
Monterrey 1-2 Tigres
When it seemed that Los Rayados were going to reach the final, having finished as leaders of the 2023 Clausura, everything changed in a couple of minutes. After a goal by Héctor Moreno was waved off y VAR, a header from Sebastián Córdova sealed the match and put Robert Dante Siboldi's men into the final. Córdova is in fine form with five goals scored in the Liguilla.
América 2-3 Chivas
Los Rojiblancos were eager to get a result at the Azteca. From the first moment, the visitors came out at a very intense pace and they quickly got the first goal thanks to Ronaldo Cisneros. Then, in the second half, Diego Valdés's goal leveled the score, but the sending off of Álvaro Fidalgo changed everything, as a goal from Alan Mozo and a header from Jesús Orozco would put Chivas in the final.
