Both of these two teams are ready to prove why they want the Leagues Cup trophy, when Pachuca faces Toronto FC at BMO Field on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV in the last game of the group stage in East 6.

There is still much to show for these clubs, even if they already are qualified for the next round of the tournament. Both of them defeated New York Red Bulls on penalty kicks after 90-minute draws, however Pachuca has a better goal differential than Toronto, as they ended in a 1-1 tie while the Canadians finished their game 0-0 before the shots from 12 yards.

The results have put the Liga MX team in first place, at least for now, as TFC looks to score their first goal of the tournament in regulation in front of their crowd and give them something to cheer for. They will try to feed off their goalkeeper´s performance in their last game, as Sean Johnson had four saves and stopped two penalty shots.

Toronto has shown a consistent style of play and has had good results recently but it will not be easy against one of the most consistent and explosive teams in North America. With that, Los Tuzos are playing with a chip on their shoulder, as they are trying to forget last years’ elimination from the tournament in the first game of the knockout stage.

Head coach Guillermo Almada said that his team can show much more than what they did in the previous game, so expect an aggressive game plan. There are players who are just beginning to add minutes to their season, like Salomon Rondon and Angel Mena, dangerous offensive pieces that are fresh and ready to go for this matchup.

Both teams know the importance of this matchup to be better positioned for the knockout round and gain confidence heading into the next phase of the Leagues Cup, as Club Pachuca and Toronto FC will leave everything on the pitch to win and finish as the top team in East 6.
