Leagues Cup 2023, the third edition of the summer tournament uniting North American soccer, kicks off on July 21. The competition will reach new heights this time round, as all 47 teams from LIGA MX and MLS will be involved, across 77 games.
With the final taking place on August 19, the new format will feature a month of action, hosted by 28 venues across the United States and Canada.
The teams have been divided into 15 groups of three teams each, with the clubs allocated their spots based on their league finishes from last year. The first two in each pool will go through to the knockout stages. A penalty shoot-out will determine the winner should any match finish in a tie.
Having been champions of last year’s LIGA MX and MLS respectively, Club Pachuca and Los Angeles FC have been awarded a bye straight into the round of 32.
